What you are hearing
Nothing here is a recording. The kick, the snare, the hi-hats, the gongs and the bells are built in real time out of oscillators and filtered noise, by the same twelve-voice engine that ships inside NOVA Synth Studio™. That is why the page loads in an instant: there is no sample library to fetch.

How to play it
Hit the coloured pads with the mouse or your finger, or use the keyboard: Q W E R for kick, snare and hi-hats, A S D F for clap and toms, Z X C V for rim, cowbell, cymbal and percussion. Space starts and stops the sequencer. Clicking a cell in the grid cycles it through empty, normal hit and accent, so you can rework any pattern into your own.
About the exotic percussion
The engine has twelve fixed synthesized voices and loads no samples, so a gong or a Tibetan bell does not exist as a separate instrument. They are obtained by retuning the existing voices — the cymbal dropped very low with a long decay becomes a gong, the closed hi-hat with a near-zero decay becomes maracas. It is a convincing evocation, not a recording of the real instrument, and it is worth saying so plainly.
Built for NOVA Synth Studio™
Every pattern in this library imports straight into NOVA Synth Studio™ — the web version, the Windows desktop build and the Android app all share the same engine. The MIDI files use the General MIDI drum map on channel 10, so they also drop into any other DAW.
